Anyone with Woolies shares would be really happy to see the latest profit figures. SMH today reported "Woolworths said net profit for the six months to December 30 rose to $891.3 million from $695.6 million. That was above forecasts of $864 million in a Reuters survey of eight analysts." Wonder if we will get some 'special' dividends?

Weipa prices at Woolworths: TipTop bread $3.80, Milk 2litre $5.03, Lettuce $3.98 each, Carrots $3.47 /kg, Bananas $4.97 /kg, Apples $5.96 /kg.
What a rip-off.... freight is not more than .60c /kg ... we need an IGA here ... I am going to start a petition.
Be careful what you wish for.
The IGA in Cooktown isn't half the store Weipa Woolies is!
Unfortunately Woolies have the power to freeze a smaller competitor out - we just have to keep complaining on their site. You do get a response - I did - they then supposedly contact the store. The more complaints lodged the better our chance in getting some changes - rather than a petition we all should make it a weekly lodging of complaints until things improve.
